Their compact size allows them to be hand positioned without the use of heavy equipment. AlturnaMATS' unique design virtually eliminates ground pressure resulting in less soil disturbance and compaction. Common wood based mats are constructed of cumbersome oak timbers weighing in excess of 2.000 lbs. per mat. Installation of these matting materials are often more damaging to their surroundings than heavy machinery alone, resulting in additional ground reconstruction fees.
